How does Notion AI use my data?
We follow our standard data protection practices to keep your data encrypted and private. Notion AI will not use your data to train our models unless you opt in to a request to share your data.
Any information used to power Notion AI will be shared with AI subprocessors for the sole purpose of providing you with the Notion AI features. We specifically have contractual agreements in place with our AI subprocessors that prohibit the use of customer data to train their models. How much does Notion AI cost? (and what are Notion credits)?
Notion AI is included with Notion’s Business and Enterprise plans, with core features like Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, and Enterprise Search. Workspaces on other plans get a limited amount of trial usage to try it out.
Why are Custom Agents priced differently?
Custom Agents can run on schedules or triggers and complete multi-step work across your workspace and connected tools. Admins can purchase Notion credits as an add-on for Business and Enterprise plans. Notion credits let teams scale that usage up or down based on how much automation they run. Learn more.
What are Notion credits?
Custom Agents run on Notion credits. Notion credits are available as an add-on to Business and Enterprise plans for teams that need always-on automation. Each run uses credits based on how much work the agent does, and admins can track usage in the Notion credits dashboard. Learn more.
When do Notion credits go into effect?
Now through May 3, 2026:
Custom Agents are free to use on Business and Enterprise plans, including Business trials. During this time, teams can explore how Custom Agents fit into their workflows, and admins can track their team's patterns in the Notion credits dashboard to understand usage and estimate future credit needs.
Admins (Business and Enterprise plans) can manage who can create Custom Agents and disable Agents anytime to guide controlled rollouts.
Starting May 4, 2026:
Custom Agents will start using Notion credits when they run. Admins can purchase additional credits, and if credits are insufficient, agents will automatically pause until more are added.
